Trent Williams Says Ref Called Him A "Disrespectful MuthaFvka"

Washington OT Trent Williams claims that umpire Roy Ellison called him a "garbage ass" and "disrespectful motherfucker" at some point late in the first quarter of the game against the Eagles.

According to CSN's Rob Carlin, Williams identified Ellison by number—81—and said he was dealing with chatter from the refs all day, but Ellison apparently took it up a notch when he approached the Washington line as they were about to run a play and let Williams know how he felt about him.

Williams mentions that the NFL is a players' league and that they shouldn't have to take that kind of behavior from the team and the referees.

We don't know what it was that Williams said or, for that matter, if Ellison actually called him a "disrespectful motherfucker" and "garbage ass," but we soon might.

Multiple players backed up Trent Williams claim of ref cursing at him. Source said interior linemen are mic'd. so team can get sound of it.

“When you have a ref come up to while you’re at the line about to run a play and call you, excuse my language, but a ‘garbage [expletive] disrespectful [expletive]‘ to me this is a player’s league,” Williams said, via CSNWashington.com. “I just don’t think there’s no room for you to have to take that from the team and the refs. I think it’s very unprofessional and it sucks. I’m at a loss for words. You never expect that as a player going into a game to have to beef with the refs also.”

Redskins guard Kory Lichtensteiger said, via Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan, that he heard the official say the same thing that Williams accused him of saying. Lichtensteiger was wearing a microphone during the game and the league could use tapes from those recordings to investigate what Ellison said on the field.

Isn't he the same guy that punched Sherman Williams in the face while wearing a helmet?

I don't care who he punched or how many times he violated the NFL's drug policy.

He's a fucking pussy.

Apparently Trent used a racial slur towards the official, calling the official who is black in this case, a nigga. Which set off the chain of events that Trent is whining about. But with no 'a' at the end.

Yes, that word.

Ellison’s appeal won’t be heard before Sunday
Posted by Mike Florio on November 23, 2013, 2:58 PM EST

Umpire Roy Ellison has been suspended for Sunday’s action, and he has filed an appeal.

As explained by Mark Maske of the Washington Post, the appeal hearing won’t happen before Sunday, which means that Ellison won’t work this week.

Ellison was suspended for using derogatory language toward Redskins tackle Trent Williams. Williams claims that Ellison called Williams a “garbage-ass, disrespectful mutherf–ker.” The NFL Referees Association contends that Ellison’s comments were provoked by Williams saying, “F–k you” to Ellison, along with the “N” word.

As Peter King of TheMMQB.com explained on Friday night’s edition of Pro Football Talk on NBCSN, umpire Rich Hall will replace Ellison. Hall works on the crew led by Ed Hochuli, which is off this week.

While the appeal process may be futile, given that Commissioner Roger Goodell has the final say, why not let Ellison work until the decision is final? There’s no reason to rush to impose a suspension that may be overturned, especially when Ellison can always be suspended for a game later in the regular season.

Sure, Ellison will get paid for the game if he wins the appeal. Why not let him get paid to work until the process if final?
