1st Round - Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
I'll probably do a few mock drafts between now and the draft, and this guy will probably be penciled as my first rounder in each of them. The Cowboys have the worst offensive line I've ever seen in the NFL. Chance goes a long way to fixing it. I think we can get by with Smith at LT, Livings at LG, Bernadeau at C, Warmack at RG, and Parnell at RT. Buth truth be told, I'll be putting another T and maybe a C somewhere in this mock.
2nd Round - Ezekial Ansah, DE/OLB, BYU
As a fan, I've grown to appreciate Spencer and would have hopes that the team would be able to re-sign him. But I also understand we'll be up against the cap a little and as such, we might have to look towards the draft for his replacement. Enter Ezekial Ansah, a 6'5" 270lbs athletic freak. The guy is raw, and isn't an explosive pass rusher, but he's good against the run, can set the edge, and despite not being a white guy, has a non stop motor.
3rd Round - Bacarri Rambo, S, UGA
I'm not sure if he lasts until we get on the clock in the third. But if he does, he's a day one starter in Dallas. Here's to hoping Gerald Sensabaugh is playing his last four games in a Cowboys uniform. I'd proposing moving Barry Church to SS, where his 5.95 forty time won't be so easily exposed. Then, let Rambo roam the secondary. He's rangy and has a nose for the ball. We haven't had a safety like that since Bill Clinton was in office.
4th Round - Ray Graham, RB, Pitt
Murray is injured 8 games of the year. Felix is a goner. Tanner and Dunbar are both JAG's. We fill a need with a talented player who's game isn't too unlike Ray Rice. Graham ought to be available here because he's coming off of an injury.
5th Round - Ryan Schraeder, OT, Valdosa State
Here we go reaching for a small school prospect that many of us wouldn't know that much about. We just happened to do it a rounder later than expected. But when we google his name and reading what little we can find on him, we'll love the fact that he's raw (didn't start playing football until college) and is a three time First Team All American. We might actually think he's got a future in this league. He doesn't. He's an Olineman we're drafting after the 2nd round. His career is fcked because of that. But at least we're throwing a warm body at a position of need. GO COWBOYS
6th Round - Bruce Taylor, ILB, Virginia Tech
We need depth at ILB since both our starters are made of glass. Taylor himself is a walking injury, but he's a talented, instinctive player and a leader on the Tech defense. I have a friend who is a huge Tech fan who met Bruce once and said he was real cool. That's good enough for the Cowboys to take him. I'll someway use that connection as a means of claiming sourcery.
