Rookie linebacker Sean Lee helped led the Cowboys in their overtime victory at the Indianapolis Colts and was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

He intercepted his first career pass in the third quarter, one that he returned 31 yards for a touchdown – his first career touchdown. He then added his second career interception in overtime that set up Dallas’ game winning field goal. Lee’s two picks marked the first time a Dallas Cowboy had multiple interceptions in a game since Terence Newman had two against the N.Y. Giants (12/14/08).

He became the 11th Dallas rookie with two interceptions in a game, first since Terence Newman had three at Washington (12/14/03) and the 10th Dallas rookie with an interception return for a touchdown. Lee also added a career-best nine tackles and two pass breakups.

This is his first award and the third NFC Defensive Player of the Week awarded to a Cowboy this season - DeMarcus Ware, Week Three and Bryan McCann, Week Ten.
