Listening to Jerry Jones speak with @rjchoppy, I have a feeling that Derrick Dockery will be starting over Montrae Holland this week at LOG.

Seahawks proceeding as if Tarvaris Jackson will start

Posted by Danny O'Neil

Corrected version

RENTON -- Coach Pete Carroll hoped to be able to rest quarterback Tarvaris Jackson on Sunday against Cincinnati.

That's not going to be the case this week after Jackson not only played the final three quarters of Sunday's game, but felt OK after doing it.

"He says he feels OK," Carroll said. "He feels better than he did last week at this time. That's a really positive sign. He has shown improvement on a day-to-day basis."

Jackson suffered a high-grade strain of his right pectoral muscle in the third quarter of Seattle's Oct. 9 victory at New York. He was inactive for last week's game in Cleveland and began Sunday's game against Cincinnati as the backup.

Charlie Whitehurst started the game, but was replaced by Jackson after three quarters possessions. Whitehurst played five quarters at quarterback for Seattle for a total of 14 possessions. The Seahawks went three-and-out on six of those possessions and scored a total of six points.

Jackson played the final three quarters and passed for 323 yards despite being so sore that he did not make throws during the warm-up before the game.

This week, the protocol will be different for Jackson because while his workload may be monitored, the expectation is he will start.

"He's definitely, in my mind, will be starting unless he can't at this point," Carroll said. "So it's a different way of looking at it this week than last week."

Notes

• TE Cameron Morrah had a sore knee after being hit during Sunday's game. It's unclear how that will affect his status this week.

• LG Robert Gallery was banged up at one point of Sunday's game, but remained out there and is expected to be OK this week.

• WR Mike Williams was held out by a sore hamstring that may have prevented him from finishing the game, but Carroll said the hope is that by not pushing the injury, he will be able to come back this week.

lol Holland has one good game, sucks it up in another then is replaced by Dockery.

Classic move.

Fuck the Seahawks.

Expect Ware to have 4 sacks against these bums.

Despite our defense stinking up the field against the Eagles, Ware still played his ass off.

He's an amazing player.

I'm going to the game this week, my first trip to Dallas since the new stadium opened. And we're inducting 3 guys in the Ring of Honor.

Sunday night put somewhat of a damper on this weekend for me, but I'm still really excited to see the team and the new stadium. I hope they show up to play this week.

Jerry finally let you out of the basement?

Seriously, have a good time man. I can't wait to see the stadium in person. I plan on going to a Cowboys home game in 2013, once my daughter is no longer playing college basketball and I am not spending my extra money and time going to her games. I will see them when they play the Cardinals this year again and I may try to get to the Baltimore game in 2012 (my son lives just outside Baltimore).
