Adam Gase, a candidate to coach the Cowboys' wide receivers, is staying with the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos have announced Gase will direct the quarterbacks under new head coach John Fox. Gase, 32, had just finished his second season as the Broncos' receivers coach. He previously had been an offensive assistant and quarterbacks coach in Detroit (2005-07), working with current Cowboys Jon Kitna and Roy Williams.
Ray Sherman, the Cowboys' receivers coach since 2007, recently released a statement that indicated he will not return to the coaching staff. His contract was set to expire after the 2010 season.
