L on FOX sideline reporter @The_ChrisMyers says there's a "possibility" that #49ers at #Packers will be Week One 4:15 ET game on FOX.

Here's hoping we get a week 17 game at home.

I'm glad we get the Saints at home. We've played about six times in the last few years and five of them have been in New Orleans. It's a bunch of crap.

I have a weird feeling they are going to send us to Seattle for a Monday night game where espn will have a week to rile that place all up.

I also think we are going to get some terrible home opener like Cleveland at noon..

I wonder if we get a division game for Tday this year

I kinda think we will, havent played an NFC East team on Turkey day in quite some time. We've played New Orleans, Tampa and Chicago since the last time we played a NFC East team

It would be the perfect time for the league to showcase rg3.....returning to Texas, close to his family on turkey day....what it means to play the cowboys on turkey day as a Texas kid. Etc. Etc

I can see the skins being perfect for thanksgiving.

babe just pointed out dallas has 4 games in 16 days in the preseason......what the hell...

and the giants will have 3 practices before we are even allowed to open because we are playing the first preseason game on monday night....

so that should be a great start.......

I hope no one gets hurt because of this.

A hypothetical Cowboys schedule
April, 17, 2012
Apr 179:09AM CTBy Todd Archer | ESPNDallas.com Recommend1Tweet10Comments2EmailPrintIRVING, Texas – We’ve had nothing but mock drafts around here for the last month, so in honor of the NFL releasing its schedule tonight, let’s take a mock look at the Cowboys’ 2012 calendar.

We know the Cowboys will open the season on Sept. 5 against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. We know they will play an NFC team on Thanksgiving this year.

Let’s fill in the gaps.

You have to plan for five nationally televised games. Done. You have to plan for most of the divisional games later in the year. Done. You have to plan for a difficult December schedule. Done. And the December schedule is particularly brutal.

So after putting those criteria in play, here’s what I came up with (and remember there is nothing official about this, so don’t take it as gospel):

Sept. 5 at New York Giants (NBC) – The NFL knows how big these ratings will be.

Sept. 16 vs. Cleveland (CBS) – Colt McCoy comes home for the first time.

Sept. 23 vs. Tampa Bay (Fox) – A must-win for the Cowboys when you see Dec. schedule.

Oct. 1 at Seattle (ESPN) – Seahawks’ secondary will pose a challenge.

Oct. 7 vs. Pittsburgh (CBS) – How many Terrible Towels will there be in Arlington?

Oct. 14 BYE

Oct. 21 at Cincinnati (Fox) – Hello, Newman. Cowboys see former teammate.

Oct. 28 vs. Washington (NBC) – Cowboys get their first look at Robert Griffin III.

Nov. 4 at Baltimore (Fox) – Always a tough place to play against a tough team.

Nov. 11 at Philadelphia (Fox) – Will this be dream season for Eagles?

Nov. 18 at Carolina (Fox) – Cowboys get their first look at Cam Newton.

Nov. 22 vs. Chicago (Fox) – A rematch of the 2004 Thanksgiving game.

Nov. 29 vs. New Orleans (NFL Network) – No Sean Payton or Bill Parcells but plenty of intrigue.

Dec. 9 at Atlanta (Fox) – Falcons are tough to beat at the Georgia Dome.

Dec. 16 vs. NY Giants (Fox) – Eli Manning is unbeaten at Cowboys Stadium.

Dec. 23 at Washington (Fox) – It’s never easy at FedEx Field.

Jan. 6 vs. Philadelphia (NBC) – Could a playoff spot be on the line again?

It's possible we could play the Redskins again on Thanksgiving. Always a treat.

Seems like except for the Saints a couple years ago they've scheduled dogs on Thanksgiving because they know the ratings will be great no matter who we play. But with Fox getting screwed out of all these marquee Giants-Cowboys games lately, I could see their arguing for an extra-great matchup on Thanksgiving.

Or would that mean they'd rather have that as a late-season 3:00 game... :confused

Either way, the Skins games will be epic this year as long as RG3 stays healthy.

Yup, and the Skins played us tough last year, with RG3 at QB it's a big improvement over Grossman.

Plus, he has some more weapons to go to this year. The Skins will be better this year no doubt.

The schedule is going to be announced later, but if memory serves, the info is usually out there by mid-afternoon.
