Good deal for Santana.

I believe he's around 32 or 33 but he still has speed even if his hands are so so...

I looked forward to getting him out of the division. Oh well.

I don't care one way or the other. He hasn't been much of a factor since under Gibbs. I'm gald they kept him. Can you say progress stopper? If you really are a team that is rebuilding, as Redskins' fans claim, then you cut ties with players like Moss.

It's only a 3 year deal and it makes sense because he's been there forever and it pretty much the only veteran presence. It takes most rookie receivers a couple of year to get up to speed and that's with a full offseason which they haven't had, so if and when they start hitting their stride the contract could be up. Plus, one vet doesn't hinder rookie WR's from developing. If they sign Holmes, you might have a point.

When you draft the likes of Malcolm Kelly this is what you get. Having to re-sign a so-so WR past his prime.

Santana Moss is pretty low on the list of division receivers I'd like to see GTFO. I'm OK with him staying with the Skins.

Well isn't that the intention? To sign Holmes or Rice?

He gets a $5 million signing bonus, and is guaranteed $6 million. So a package of $11 million at least. Not good.

Wouldn't be surprised if they did but it hasn't happened. I think Holmes stays with the Jets and they get outbid for Rice. The ridiculous contracts could go to Cofield and Jenkins.

Cofield and Jenkins would be nice. You need help on the defensive line.

I still have nightmares of Santana Moss running right by Roy Williams.
