Saints have a feel for a Paul Pasqualoni defense

As you continue to look for the differences in how Paul Pasqualoni runs a 3-4 defense compared to how Wade Phillips did it, the Saints are doing the same thing.

Sean Payton & Co. don't have to go too far back to look either. They went against Pasqualoni's defense last year in Miami, winning 46-34. They put up 414 yards and scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to erase what was at one point a 24-3 Dolphins' lead.

It wasn't all bad. Drew Brees was intercepted three times and sacked five times. The Saints converted only 5-of-15 third-down chances, too. And New Orleans scored two defensive touchdowns on interception returns.

"We looked at a little bit, and obviously I recall that game pretty well as to kind of the way they tried to defend us," Brees said. "It's been a combination, especially on a short week, just trying to absorb as much information as you can. We took at that, and obviously took a look at last year's Dallas game and games from this year. You just try to kind of get a feel for how they're going to try to match up personnel and that kind of thing."

I already have come to the conclusion that I want a new defensive coordinator next year.
