Watching sixth-rounder Dwayne Harris play and reading his bio, I can't help but be reminded of a certain ex-Cowboys receiver:

Patrick Crayton, with maybe a little extra burst.

Harris is an accomplished receiver and returner at East Carolina, gaining a career 6,380 all-purpose yards. He's an ideal fit in the slot, where Crayton contributed during much of his tenure here. They're similar in build: Harris at 5-10/200, Crayton at 6-0/205.

Say what you want about Crayton, but the 2004 seventh-round pick had 196 catches for 2,888 yards to go along with 1,066 punt return yards and 25 combined touchdowns over an 82-game span. That's a big contribution, and make no mistake, the Cowboys could have used his help amid injuries to Dez Bryant and Kevin Ogletree.

They would be thrilled to get similar production from Harris.

He's like Crayton in the sense that he'll do all of his work from the slot, taking advantage of the attention the stars are getting in coverage.

But Crayton was slow. No deep speed and he took a while to motor up to full throttle. Harris is quicker. He can dart pretty good but lacks an extra gear.

Goose's comparison to Kelvin Martin is better.
