Romo named NFC Offensive Player of the Week

Tony Romo's performance last week was an award-winner.

The Cowboys quarterback was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday after throwing for 345 yards and two touchdowns, despite a rib fracture. Romo completed 20 of 33 passes, including a 77-yard completion to Jesse Holley that set up a game-winning field goal in the 27-24 overtime victory on Sunday at San Francisco.

It's Romo's fifth NFC Offensive Player of the Week award. The last one came in November 2007 after a victory against Green Bay.

Romo's 345 passing yards were his sixth-highest total, and the touchdown passes gave him 20 consecutive games with a touchdown pass, extending his team record.
