According to Jesse Holley on the Fan,
Romo told him to run the route he ran even though the play called for a different route.

Interesting......

Jason should be thinking more about why he won't ever run the ball when we're inside the 5 yard line, etc, etc.. his playcalling still has a long ways to go.

when you see some evidence of us having enough success running the ball to continue trying it, then complain

they arnt getting any push or opening any holes dude

Absolutely, thank goodness we have a top passing offense to fallback on.

Good on Romo. Jason shouldn't say shit, or think anything. Sometimes the players on the field. Especially the QB, can see that game and how it is unfolding better than ego boy wonder on the sidelines.

But, it is true that he has call passes so much because the running game is non existent.

Did it ever occur to anyone that our Oline just isn't that good enough to have a balanced attack yet.

Yeah, there were times we blocked well, but there were plenty of times where we looked awful.

The chemistry from the Oline won't improve until later in the year, it needs time.

Get out of here. That makes too much sense for the plug-n-play crowd.

Or our line could be shitty. The staff thought they could throw 3 interior pieces of shit at the wall and have them stick. That didn't work out for them.

You have an oline that is semi decent at pass blocking and too weak to run block. Basically last year all over again.

And that's why a lot of fans get mad at JG and his play calling, but his hands are tied. Our Oline is still very raw and it shows.

Good point in regards to all of the passing plays being called.

Sometimes a RB can make an O-line look better as well.
Dallas just doesn't have that RB on the roster.

UMM everyone seems to be missing the fact that we have set audibles with personnel groupings and alot of times 2 plays are called into the qb and he makes the decision at the line.

I think there is a perception here that romo is just ignoring garrett or something, I dont believe that to be the case.

Sort by the AVG column, then explain what you're talking about.

Hey.. if we ran the ball when we're inside the 5 and we average 2.3 ypc.. guess how many times we'd score a TD in 3 tries based on that average?

I really don't care how poorly our OL is blocking throughout the course of the game. When you're a couple yards out, its all willpower, there's absolutely no reason we should be throwing it 2 or 3 downs in that area.

You're really going to go with that? Seriously? It's not just simple math. You do realize that rushing average is mainly compiled between the 20's, where running is a heck of a lot easier, right? That inside the 20, the field shortens and players can naturally play closer to the line? Especially inside the 5.

Wait. I just thought of something.... If a team is averaging 4 yards a carry, which is a pretty standard avg, why would they ever pass? Hell, you'll make a first down on every third carry. March it right down field and score a TD. Every. F'n. Time. It's unbelievable that no coach has ever realized this. Those stupid bastards....

Or why not give it to your RB on every 4th down when it's 4th and 3? He's averaging over 4 a carry. Guess how many times it takes him to get the first based on that average? No. Wait. There never will be a 4th and 3. I forgot about the scenario above. I'd have already got the first down on my 3rd carry. Strike that 4th down scenario. My bad.
