That would never happen.

I base this off of reading an SI article years ago, where some SI guy was allowed to sit in on the Cowboys draft prep for the 2002 draft (article was published post draft).

People were advocating taking Philip Buchanon at 6, and the argument was how we'd be fools for taking the 2nd best corner over the clear cut best safety in the draft. Paraphrasing.

I know some of the pieces in that draft room have changed, but I don't think we'd take the clear cut third best corner over the #1 guard, and arguably the best pass rushing OLB (Ingram).
