Redskins planning for RGIII's return vs. Cowboys

Robert Griffin III returned to the practice field sans a walking boot Saturday for some stretching drills with his teammates.

It was a positive step for the Washington Redskins quarterback as he works back from a dislocated ankle suffered in Week 2.

That step puts him on a pace to return to the lineup prior to the team's Week 10 bye. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday on NFL GameDay First that the Redskins' plan is for RGIII to be back in three weeks.

That pace would put Griffin back on the field Oct. 27 (Week 8) to face division rival Dallas Cowboys.

The immediate narrative following RGIII's injury was whether Kirk Cousins would usurp the starting role. After last week's disastrous performance against the New York Giants, the plot flipped -- and now the team can't wait to get RGIII back on the field.

You all remember when Redskins' fans were bragging about having two QBs that were better than Romo? Yeah.

Can't shake the awesome memory of a one-legged RG3 beating our slow ass defense to the corner.

I thought they played Seattle pretty tough, actually. Still think I'd rather face Cousins, though maybe not if it's RG3's first week back.

Please. How many penalties did the Seahawks have? That was so lopsided. Like the refs were trying t help the Redskins, much like they helped the Steelers years back.

Speaking of; kind of sad that in the last decade, we've been to the playoffs once under 3 different coaches, while the Seahawks have been to two Super Bowls.

Clearly you two don't want to admit what Jay Gruden is building

Yep. Building this. Props to him.
