That's as good a list as any. You can even interchange Dez and Hakeem and nobody here would be upset. The rest rounds out about right. I know it't top 5 but if you were to have a #6, you wouldn't go wrong with either Roy or Manningham.

For the year that Roy is having... you have to give him a bit mroe love than that. I'd have Smith ahead of Moss, in fact, I think Smith is the Giant's second best WR.

Funny as to how on another thread you told sbk to step away from the crack pipe--and rightfully so; but evidently, so that you can pick it up for yourself.Neither Jackson nor Smith are better than Austin.

In my opinion they are.

I could understand if someone tried to make an argument that Jackson is a better receiver than Austin, based on his speed and the threat he poses on any given down. I wouldn't agree with it, but I could understand it.

However, I can't understand why or how anyone would put Steve Smith higher than Miles Austin.

Smith is like Wes Welker. He's dangerous out of the slot, and he's his quarterbacks security blanket. But he's not near the overall receiver that Miles Austin is. Not even close.

Jackson is better, and look how close I have Smith and Austin apart.

It's not like I ranked him 4 or more slots lower.

If it weren't for Nicks Smith would be Eli's number one target.

I can't. Not a legitimate arguement. Unless you also try to include Jackson as a PR as well. But as a straight up WR? No. Jackson is one-dimensional. All he has is that go/fly route. Austin can beat you all over the field. You can jam Jackson at the LOS and then "sit" on him and he's out of the play. Try to jam Austin at the LOS.

How is he better? And don't include PR. I'm talking straight up as a WR. Most Eagles' fans wouldn't say that Jackson is better than Austin. In fact, most Eagles' fans would say that Maclin is better than Jackson.

Don't get me wrong it's close, but Jackson is a bit better than Austin as a whole receiver.

Austin has the edge on the LOS, I agree there, but Jackson is the better route runner and run after the catch by a nose hair.

Again, they are close so I'm not going to completely take Jackson's side but I give him the edge.

It's not a far off comparison, I could change my mind in another season.

It's sort of like comparing Nicks and Bryant. Two very close talented receivers.

Now I will admit I may be wrong on Smith being better. The more I think about it, Austin is better.

How is he a better route runner when he only has ONE route that he runs, basically? Ok. He runs the go route bwetter than Austin... I guess. He's faster. He doesn't go over the middle like Austin. Austin has much more than a go route. I know this for a fact, because I used to be highly critical of Austin's route running, but that changed when he hooked up with Sherman. And it's not the same comparison between Nicks and Bryant. Jackson is one dimensional. Period.
