Randy Moss: I forgive Jerry Jones for draft snub, 'but I never forget'

It's been 13 years since Jerry Jones passed on drafting Randy Moss, but who's counting?

Moss is. He said the snub still motivates him. It just so happens that he'll play the Cowboys in his first home game with Minnesota since being traded by New England.

"Am I still mad at the Cowboys? Man, I always carry a certain chip on my shoulder for the Cowboys,'' Moss said on a conference call with Dallas-area reporters on Wednesday. "You let bygones be bygones but at the same time I've still got that chip.

"It's a little added motivation. I don't really try to go out there and disrespect the Dallas Cowboys organization or say anything negative about Jerry Jones and what he's accomplished there. But I think as far as playing within the white lines, within the rules, I still take it to heart.''

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones apologized last week for what happened with Moss. Does Moss forgive him?

"I always forgive, man, that's in the Bible,'' he said. "I always forgive but I never forget. Jerry Jones, I still respect his organization, the accomplishments that he has made over the years, I don't hold a grudge and I'm not bitter about the situation - this is my 13th year in the league and like I said I forgive him but I don't forget. We're still cool.''

Considering the coaching and QBs we had during the Moss years... what difference would uit have made if we had drafted him? We wouldn't have won any Super Bowls.

We had Aikman for Moss's first two years in the league. I really think we would have gone and played Denver in the Superbowl his rookie season.

With Chan "the Man" as our HC...? I don't think so.

Dallas also would of had another WR on the other side that you guys may remember, Irvin ? And still had Emmitt. ? I could see a couple of years with the triplets and Moss doing some damage.

Irvin screwing up was the reason Moss wasn't drafted by the Boys. It doesn't matter now. It's all about Sunday and seeing if any player in a Cowboys jersey has the sack to make a play , hurt some folk and win the fucking game.

If memory serves . . . we were 3-1 and leading in Philly when Irvin was hurt. So we were still a decent team at that time.

We might have made another run if we had Moss.

I'm over it.

Moss . . . you need to get over it to.

Moss would of been drafted the year before. But, in 99, Dallas was 3-1 heading into philthy when Irvin got hurt.
