1(14) Dallas Morris Claiborne LSU CB
Height:6'0" Weight:178
Mike Jenkins pulled a hamstring in the Philadelphia game and will be out 4-6 weeks! Now, a Halloween eve game and the April draft are 6 months apart, but Jenkins has continued a propensity for nagging injuries. Terence Newman will be 34 at the beginning of next season, Orlando Scandrick was extended this year . . . and your depth is Alan Ball and Frank Walter. Given DC Rob Ryan's desire to run pressure defenses and leave his CB's on an island, this is a position of need. Morris Claiborne came to LSU as a WR and was moved to CB, but not because he had bad hands, as evidenced by 5 picks and 6 deflections; rather, his length, strength and quick feet made him a holy terror in both press and off coverage packages. With an off-season NFL weight training program, Claiborne will be a perfect fit for the Cowboy defense and become a starter Day One.

12. Dallas Cowboys Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU
Can Jerry Jones resist another talented size/speed cornerback prospect in the first round?

12. Dallas Cowboys Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama
Rob Ryan has this defensive unit improving, but the secondary remains a weak link. Kirkpatrick's blend of size, speed and big hitting makes him a potential good fit here.

(1)16 Dallas Cowboys: Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama
Many mocked Prince Amukamara to the Cowboys this past April for good reason. Mike Jenkins was coming off an awful year, while Terence Newman has nothing left in the tank. Cornerback help is desperately needed, and Dre Kirkpatrick is one of the top players available.
(2)48 Dallas Cowboys: Whitney Mercilus, DE/OLB, Illinois
Anthony Spencer opened the 2011 season hot, but cooled off prior to the Seattle game. He'll be a free agent in March. I doubt Dallas will want to pay him the money he's looking for, so Jerry Jones may spend an early selection on a replacement
(3)79 Dallas Cowboys: Kheeston Randall, DE/DT, Texas With Kenyon Coleman and Marcus Spears seeing major time on the defensive front, the five-technique position must be addressed next offseason.

12. Dallas Cowboys: Dre' Kirkpatrick, Cornerback, Alabama
At 6-foot-2 and 190 lbs, Dre’ Kirkpatrick is one of the biggest corners in the draft. Good speed and great size will allow him to cover the NFL’s big receivers—something Michael Jenkins and Terrance Newman have struggled to do for the Dallas Cowboys as of late.
Newman is also showing signs of aging, making him a liability in the secondary.
With Felix Jones not really showing he can be an elite running back, Jerry Jones could very well make a play for Trent Richardson here and keep DeMarco Murray as more of a change-of-pace guy, however, I can see Jones being loyal to his fellow Razorback alum.
