Not mad. I couldn't care less.
Just think it's shitty for a team to block an assistant when the guy has a chance at a promotion.
Also sends a bad message to other assistants possibly considering coming here in the future.

I don't think this is anything bad.
If decamillis wanted out I Am sure they would let him interview.
Seems like run of the mill stuff.
Besides it's getting late in the year to have to replace a coordinator. If we lose him other teams would deny us the ability most likely to steal a coach from them.
I'm not suggesting he wouldn't have handled ST duties.
But he would've also had the title as AHC.
It's a promotion, even if only in title.
By denying him the opportunity to even interview, we're essentially capping an excellent opportunity for him to grow in his career.
There was, afterall, rumblings of him being a candidate for the Jaguars HC gig, so he's appearantly well regarded in the league.

No one is going to hire Joe decamillis as a head coach.
He has been around for a long time, his units are not even that good to be honest. They a just ok, but had two critical errors this year. Blocked punt against the jets, blocked fg against the giants.
He is a good st coach, he is never going to be the head coach of an NFL team.
If he wanted to interview with the raiders I am sure they would have let him.
