Question of the day: Why doesn't Ray Sherman call the plays?

Reading several posts on the Cowboys forum, there are several people who would feel that the playcalling could be done better by Ray Sherman. First, what are your thoughts on this, and second, can you ask Wade about that? Maybe just the mention of it would spark some talk about it.
Bobby Rowand, Great Mills, Md.
Even if we ask Phillips about it, it will never happen. Jason Garrett is the highest-paid assistant coach in the NFL. To a degree, I think playcalling is overrated. Execution is more important, and the players aren't executing what is called all of the time. I think Garrett tends to do too much with formations and personnel, and sometimes being simpler is best. But to think Jerry Jones will allow the playcalling to be taken away is folly.
