QB in the upcoming draft

I don't think we'll draft one, because I think the team believes Kitna will return for another season, and that McGee showed enough for them to think he could eventually become a back up for us.

But what do you think? Should we draft a QB in the later rounds? And if so, who?

I say "later" rounds because I don't buy that any of the QB's in this draft with potential first round grades will be worth a shat. Locker, Mallett, and Newton will all bust. Gabberts value is in the bottom half of the first, not the top half. They're all getting overrated because the position they play.

If it were me, I'd target a QB over the weekend, and hope that Greg McElroy from Alabama is available in the fourth or fifth.

I'd probably pass on QB via draft pick, unless we had an extra 7th or two. Mainly because I dont see a late rd pick beating out McGee, who I think has showed alot of upside.

I would probably sign a RFA though to bring to camp and if they show anything, put them on the PS.

While unlikely, it is possible that McGee could beat out Kitna as the 2nd QB.

Pat Devlin and Ricky Stanzi are two that come to mind as developmental guys you could get in the middle rounds.

And neither one of them are as good as McGee, and neither one of them have the advantage of already having 2yrs in the system.

Anyway, I'd look towards guys like Devlin and Stanzi. I wouldn't pass up a QB because of McGee. That's for sure.
