The Cowboys and the rest of the league's 31 teams are still stuck in a league-wide lockout, but that apparently hasn't stopped them from setting a opening date for the beginning of training camp at the Alamdome in San Antonio.
As the San Antonio Express-News reported, a city official confirmed that the Cowboys are tentatively set to start training camp on July 29.
"The Cowboys plan to start moving equipment into the building July 25," Mike Sawaya told the Express-News. "The annual pep rally/concert to kick off camp is set for July 28."
While the news that the team is planning for business as usual come the end of the month, the players and owners have numerous issues to deal with before the two sides even think about ending the lockout.
If the sides can't come to an agreement, the Express-News noted the team would have to move training camp to the Cowboys' practice facility in Irving, if the lockout starts to encroach on the start date for training camp in San Antonio.
