SI.com's NFL columnist Peter King joined The Herd on ESPN Radio on Wednesday and told Colin Cowherd that there is a noticeable difference in this year's Cowboys training camp.
"Jason Garrett is the star of the Dallas Cowboys camp this year," King said. "He's in charge. He's running the show. And again, I'm not saying he's running the personnel and draft show, but I'm saying he is running the coaching of this team, and there's no ifs ands or buts about it."
King also believes Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones is confident he finally has the right person in charge of his franchise.
"Jerry Jones loves where Jason Garrett has taken this team," King said. "He loves the professionalism. He loves the straight line and 'do not cross this line' attitude that Garrett has had. You're all judged on your performance. I think Jerry Jones looks at Jason Garrett and says, 'We just might have our coach for the next decade. I love this guy.' "
