Former Cowboys wide receiver Drew Pearson talked with KESN-FM's Ben & Skin on Monday. Here are a few highlights:

On whether he’s in or out on Tony Romo as the Cowboys’ quarterback:

You really have no choice. Where do you go if you’re not in? If you’re out, then who steps in to replace Tony? We’ve got to live and die with Tony. Jerry has said it. You listen to his teammates in the locker room and their comments after the game about the faith in Tony, we’ve got to support him, and he’s our quarterback. So you’ve got to support him.

The problem with Tony is what Jimmy Johnson said in some of his comments. It’s about situational football. He’s got to understand the situations that he’s in. And in football, and especially in the NFL, sometimes your philosophy has to be “Live to play another day.” You throw the ball away, you take a sack, you do whatever, but you don’t put your team in jeopardy by trying to force things and make things happen, especially when you have a lead in the game. You have to be smarter than that.

I think we’ve got to continue to ride Tony, but for Terry Bradshaw and some other people to start lumping him into the class of Danny White, lighten up man. He is no Danny White. If he was Danny White, the Cowboys would’ve won some more playoff games by now in Tony’s tenure. He would’ve led us to some NFC Championship games. He would not make the same kind of mistakes, he would understand situational football, he wouldn’t throw the football in situations where it didn’t look like he had a chance, and those situations end up affecting the football team. So that’s where I see Tony Romo right now. But here’s the problem: We have no other choice. We’ve got to live and die by him, and that’s why you hear the players still trying to pump up his confidence.

He right though. Preach it Drew!

No he's not right. We get it, you don't like Romo, and he's not my favorite person right now, either. But alot of people---yourself included, are simply piling on and don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Far be it foor me to defend Romo, but the the playoff games in Romo's tenure, he is far from the reason why we lost playoff games and ergo why we haven't won more.

The Seattle game---Parcells handcuffed Romo, doubtful that White would have succeeded under the same conditions. Speaking, of which, the ones that bitch about Garrett's playcalling with the Lions, seemingly in the past had given Parcells a pass on that game and many others.

The 2007 Giants' playoff game, wasn't Romo's fault, nor the 2009 loss to the Vikings.

He's just mad he's the third best #88 in team history.

90% of former players are morons. Pearson included.

Personally, I think Romo would and could do very well in the playoffs IF we get there. I know alot of people claim that Romo will never lead us to a Championship---I at one time said it, but upon reflection, I think he could under Garrett. Truthfully, I do not think he would make those same mistakes in the playoffs. In fact, in all 4 of his playoff appearances, none of them stand out where he made bad decisions.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I have total confidence in Romo performing well in the playoffs. It's the regular season right now, that has me concernd.

No he's right, Danny White > Tony Romo. But there is a part of me that wishes Romo were around to QB the Cowboys in the early 80's. It would've spared us of "the catch" since we never would've been that far in the playoffs.

But I do think Romo is better than Pelleur and Hogeboom, fwiw.

I think if Parcells took the reins off in that game, Romo throws 2 or more interceptions. If you think he presses the issue now, he was even worse at that stage in his development.

No instead, it would've been called "the interception".
