The Cowboys are paying attention to the health of Patrick Crayton.
The San Diego Union Tribune is reporting Crayton could miss two weeks with a left wrist injury suffered in the first half of the Chargers' win Monday against Denver after scoring a touchdown. ESPN is saying it is a dislocated wrist, which sounds like more than a two-week injury.
Crayton finished the game with three catches for 105 yards and has 28 catches for 514 yards on the season.
Why do the Cowboys care about his health after trading him to the Chargers before the season started? If he finishes with 40 catches they get a sixth round pick in April's draft in return. If not, they get a seventh round pick back.
Quarterback Philips Rivers really seems to like throwing to Crayton. Maybe it was the matchup they had against the Broncos Monday, but Rivers and Crayton seem to have a relationship that was similar to the one Crayton had with Tony Romo.
Crayton really understands the game and coverages and knows where a quarterback will look in certain situations.
