Pat Williams on Keith Brooking: 'If he wants to cry like a little baby, he'll cry like a little baby'

Things could get interesting on Sunday at Mall of America Field between two of the NFL's most disappointing teams in Cowboys and Vikings.

Last year's playoff game is the starting point.

On Wednesday, defensive end Ray Edwards said Cowboys right tackle Marc Colombo "is kind of dirty." On Thursday defensive tackle Pat Williams came out against Keith Brooking, who lit into the Vikings for their final touchdown with 1:55 to play while leading 27-3, calling it classless and that the Cowboys will remember that when the regular-season meeting comes.

Well, it's here this week.

"We don't care what Brooking says," Williams told Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "If he's still talking about last year that's his bad because last year is last year and we ain't worried about. If he wants to cry like a little baby, he'll cry like a little baby but we aren't worried about what he's saying."

Actually, Brooking has been quiet this week about last year's comments because at 1-3 he feels like the Cowboys have more important things to worry about.

On Wednesday, Wade Phillips was asked about that last touchdown.

"People can do what they want," Phillips said. "That's what they chose to do. It's not something I would've done."

Williams was surprised the Cowboys even complained.

"Yeah because this is the NFL, it ain't Pop Warner, it ain't high school," Williams said. "This is the pros. I figure if they were so good they would have stopped us from scoring but they didn't."

That still pisses me off to this day, that Minnesota did that to us.

It pisses me off that Dallas didn't stop them from scoring.

It's the same kind of pissed that I feel about the last game in Texas Stadium against Baltimore and the "we quit" game against Philly to end that season.

I think it's because we gave up, the game was over.

Yeah that was really a bad way to end the season. I really want us to knock the shit out of Farve and win this game.

If we don't win this game our season is over. JMO

I think it's already over, but it's really really over if we lose. I'll even take this deal: We knock Favre out for a few games to break his streak and win against Minnesota but lose all the rest.

We need the draft pick for a roadgrading lineman anyway.

I think between the draft and free agency we need to fix the offensive line, and add a ball hawk safety.

Lets be real..the reason Brooking was so pissed is that our defense could bot stop anything. Who cares is we lost by 20 or 30?

Brooking needs to man up big time this game.

He does need to man up and he needs to play better when he drops into coverage.

He looked horrible against the Titans.

I think between the draft and free agency we need to fix the offensive line, and add a ball hawk safety.

Here's what I think we need to do:

1. Fire Wade and go after Jim Harbaugh of Stanford. That guy is the real deal.

2. Not re-sign Kosier and get rid of Davis. Oh, and Barron too unless he shows something quick next training camp.

3. Make Colombo earn his RT spot this year.

4. Draft offensive lineman in the first and second rounds at least, and whoever does the scouting for lineman needs to be replaced.

5. Sign a couple of solid, young lineman in free agency. We should have gone after Richie Incognito, who plays as nasty as Colombo, but we had Davis blocking the way.

6. Get a ball hawk free safety as you said.

7. Get rid of Brooking and put in Sean Lee. He's going to be good and looked solid when he played last week.

8. End this Jason Williams experiment if he doesn't show anything the first few weeks of training camp. Enough is enough.

9. Get rid of Ball and Scandrick. They both suck.

10. Give all the necessary power to the head coach. This is the 4th puppet Jerry has hired. It does not work.

We also need Jerry to step aside as GM, but we all know that won't happen.

We most definitely need to get better and younger on the offensive line, I totally agree.

And man do I miss the days of a ball hawking safety. I can't remember the last time we had one. lol

He never will, but he can stop undermining his head coaches. Jimmy had a chance to win 4 straight and be in the Hall of Fame but he couldn't take any more of it. That says a lot.

As it is now when you agree to be the head coach of the Cowboys you must have your balls removed and placed in a jar on Jerry's desk.

Brock Marion and Darren Woodson until Brock had enough and went to play for Jimmy in Miami.

Me too...How many of you have faith that "IF" we beat them Sunday that we won't go back to being the mistake prone, undisciplined bunch of morons that we have always been under Wade ?
