In their words: members of the Cowboys organization and some of their sound bytes on new Cowboys coach Jason Garrett.

"I do not have a won-loss type percentage in my mind or a number of wins that impact what I do in the future. I think we all know what the challenge is. It is a huge challenge for our team and of course a huge challenge for Jason.

"If he can meet this challenge head on, if he can pull his nose up, if he can do things that you see in that direction, then that’s going to be impressive.

"Very few people have ever come into a coaching position with any more of a challenge."

-- Owner Jerry Jones the day Garrett was named interim head coach.

"I think the personality of this group going forward will have my stamp on it a little more than it has in the past."

-- Jason Garrett the day he was named interim
.

"There is zero gray area there. It is black and white. Very direct and to the point. No misunderstanding.

"I've been hit in the head a lot, but I could understand what he is saying when he stood up there and communicated to our football team. I believe in anybody like that."

-- Linebacker Keith Brooking
.

"I don’t know if I can say it. Hard ass. Hard butt. And I like it."

-- Receiver Roy Williams describing what Garrett is like as a coach
.

"The way he’s responded, I think he was born to be a head coach.

"Jason Garrett is the fire. He has that fire in his belly and he motivates us, man. He really does. I’ll be honest with you. He gives you something to think about and guys respond."

-- Linebacker Bradie James after overtime win against Indianapolis.

I can't wait until Jason adds the players he wants to this organization.

This draft is going to be awesome, we'll see if he can evaluate talent.

I think he'll do a good job of it, he knows what players he needs.

Hopefully Roy Williams won't get the chance to savor any more of Jason Garrett's coaching style.

I can't wait to see his staff, but even more importantly, his training camp.

Absolutely, that's why I was on the fence about Jason at first, because of Jerry not letting him have control.

Now that he has control, this team will only get better as the years progress. No more camp cupcake.

Was thinking the exact thing about TC. Of course, I don't think EGO man Jones is gonna give Garrett "that much" pull. TC is a big money maker for EGO man.
