Out of the Furnace ... Anyone going to see it?

It is a movie based on the Ramapo Mountain Men. I grew up one town over and have been up to stag hill several times and was chased back down by pickup loads of crazy people. It is a truly creepy place. No indoor plumbing or electricity in most "homes". I know the DeGroats and the Manns.They are the two leading tribes up there. They had kids my age and we used to get in fights at the Interstate Bowling alley down the road from the hill. Police and Fire do not respond to calls and more than one person has gone missing hiking through that area. In the sixties a mail man was killed for delivering an eviction notice. The people are a group of inbreds consisting of runaway slaves white criminals and Indians. The group collectively is known as the "Jackson Whites" which is considered a derogatory name locally, similar to the n-word.

The movie has an all star cast. I think I am going to see it tonight.

Yeah, I might go see it Saturday. Sounds good. Reminds me of The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia. They're part of Midswat's family if I'm not mistaken.
