Hopefully Newman can come back next week. Jenkins was one of the brightspots tonight IMO, really locked down on their WR's when he was in there.

He took some huge shots but kept coming back. Really gutted it out tonight. I think Ryan has really gotten through to him.

CB Orlando Scandrick injures ankle

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick will miss 3-4 weeks with an ankle injury suffered in Sunday's season-opening loss to the New York Jets, according to owner and general manager Jerry Jones.
"We didn't get a good enough shot on the X-ray," Jones said. "It's a high ankle. It's a fracture. It's something like that. Three or four weeks is what the doctors told me."
Scandrick left MetLife Stadium in a protective boot and will have more tests when the team returns to Valley Ranch early Monday morning. At one point in the second half, the Cowboys had their fourth (Alan Ball) and fifth cornerbacks (Bryan McCann) on the field after Mike Jenkins left with a shoulder injury.
Jenkins returned in the fourth quarter but will have to be monitored during the week. Terence Newman missed the game with a groin injury, but he could return to practice this week after stepping up his rehab and conditioning work last week.
"All those guys in that defensive backfield can play for a reason," Scandrick said. "I don't know how long I'm going to be out, but I fully expect us to not miss a beat and for them to step up."
Jones said the Cowboys would likely call up Mario Butler from the practice squad instead of looking for more veteran help if the team needs to make a roster move.

I would get rid of choices useless ass.
If they could get a draftpick for him that would be great. He looked like a guy who brings nothing to the table last night, I would not risk rucker over choice in any situation.
