Ill start this by saying god i hate the majority of the players on this team right now.

Now down to some numbers...Thanks to AdamJT for these numbers
Dallas has 25 million dollars in DEAD MONEY!! but ill take that with knowning players like Marion Barber, Marco Colombo Leonard Davis, Roy Williams and Andre Gurode arent playing in Dallas anymore. Thats where most of the dead money is going.

With that said Dallas has over 18 million they can take with them into 2012 and if the cap doesnt go up much dallas should around 20 million in cap room. And most likely cutting newman will save dallas between 4-6 million and with voiding contracts of players like Brookings and Kitna Dallas could gain another 5 million. So Dallas would end up roughly around 30 mil in cap room. Not bad. and they can always rework some contracts like Austins or Romos or Wares. If they are truely interested in the betterment of the team, theyll do this if asked.

Now getting down to some hate.

This list of players id assume they would be gone if theres a legit change coming, if we dont see these coming then i lost hope for 2012.

Terence Newman - The guy is done as a CB. I think some teams might be asking him to switch to FS. But the guy cant tackled so there you have it. He's gone
Keith Brooking - Finished even if he doesnt think so
Bradie James - Warrior but he cant cover and the lack of athletism within the ILB core is what breaks this defense down the most IMO.
Kenyon Coleman - Scrappy vet but they need to move Ratliff to his spot. Rather have Hatcher. Coleman or spears will be gone.
Anthony Spencer - Guy is a scrub plain and simple
Alan Ball - I like Ball but he makes too many mental errors, seems he's lost 70% of the time.
Abram Elam - I think he could be back but if Dallas gets a true FS then Elam is out.
Martellus Bennett - Will be a starter somewhere next yr.

Guys that need to be back in Dallas...

Laurent Robinson - He needs to be brought back at all costs.
Tony Fiammetta - See above.
Matt Mcbriar - Hopefully he comes back healthy, but if Dallas wants to pinch pennies they might go with Jones

The rest of the FA's sme mentioned above in the needs to go can get lost.

Dallas def needs to change the mentality of the team with some fresh face, some team generals no bullshit type guys. Some guys who arent affraid to get in a teammates face.

One name that comes right to mind, Ray Lewis. IDK if he'll be a freeagent but from the way the Ravens didnt miss him when he was out i think Ray has seen his last days in Baltimore. Stop gap type of player until the team knows what they have in Carter. Sure Dallas has Lee but as the season went on teams exposed Lee with Te's. Lee would learn alot from Ray Ray aswell.

That would be my dream signing for Dallas coming 2012, Now some players who will be FA's

Center: Nick Hardwich SD - guy knows how to call adjustments knows the game and is a probowl type of player Dallas needs coordinating the OL assignments on the field. Alternative Matt Birk

NT: Aubrayo Franklin NO - Guy was a load in the niners 3-4 defense but signed with the saints and bombed in the 4-3. He's a NT plain and simple. Might be a under the radar type of player the Cowboys could steal.

OLB: Erik Walden GB - Guy has a motor that doesnt stop and seems to have matured and learned the game. Would be a nightmare of a tandem with Ware.

3 solid vets decent contracts but fill needs and adds talent and a proven record.

Im going to bring out a name i wouldve liked to see Dallas pick up last yr and just had him in the IR. But he took the yr off to rehab and thats Deunta Williams. Hope Dallas looks at him.

Then comes the draft Dallas needs to hit on this draft.

Round 1
David DeCastro, Offensive Guard, Stanford
Round 2
Mark Barron, Strong Safety, Alabama

Would love this first day

paying erik walden as a free agent would be so funny it hurt.

if that happens...kill me.

Players are hotheaded. Roethlesberger is a rapist but id choose him over romo anyday. IDC what they do in their personal life.

I like Butler too but he doesnt seem to be able to add the size needed to play every down as needed. But i have to disagree Butler isnt better than Walden. Character maybe but on the field not even close

I think you could platoon at that spot with Butler and Albright or a rookie. Butler had as many sacks as Walden with much less playing time this year. I know sacks are not the end all stat, but still.

thats the defining point. Walden can play it all. Butler is horrible against the run.

Not really sure how you can make that call when Butler has not been given the time that Walden has. Also, let's not act like Walden was part of a defensive juggernaut in GB.

Butler has been in Dallas long enough. I refuse to believe that players just dont get chances in Dallas. As bad as Spencer has been i doubt Butler has been any better.

As opposed to players having their asses pampered by the organization?

No, I want that to change. But not if it means brining in players I abhore.

Fret not, as this list isn't terribly long.

Ray Lewis
Eli Manning
Donovan McNabb
Brandon Jacobs
...

No one else immediately comes to mind.

Spencer is a better all around player than Butler...he is also better than Walden, who would get the same treatment Butler has behind Spencer. Not sure why you have a boner for Walden...he is a JAG, nothing more. If we are gong to throw money at the position...and he would probably cost more than I would like to spend...then bring someone in who is an actual upgrade.

I just think new faces and new energy needs to be brought in. While u have your opinion i have mine and Walden is where we disagree.

Of course id love guys like Courtney Upshaw, Brandon Jenkins, or Nick Perry in the draft.

Instead of Ray Lewis, the Raven defender we should go after is OLB Jarret Johnson. He's one of the leaders on that squad and has a Raven franchise record of like 116 consecutive starts. I know you're looking at his stats right now and screaming JAG, but the Ravens haven't exactly been trying to push him out of the starting lineup, because the intangibles he brings to the field are so huge. We could definitely use that, instead of bringing back a player who admitted to taking plays off.

He would be akin to adding Keith Brooking, but back in 1999. OK, maybe 2003 or so.
