Officially Terence Newman is questionable for Sunday's game vs. Jacksonville with a rib muscle strain. Unofficially the Cowboys expect him to be in the starting lineup.

Newman did not practice for the second straight day despite the fact that coach Wade Phillips said Newman told him he was feeling better. Newman would not say whether he would play or not. Newman was "very limited" during Wednesday's practice, which was mostly a walkthrough after the Cowboys played on Monday vs. the New York Giants.

Bradie James (knee) and Dez Bryant (ankle) are probable for Sunday's game after going through a full practice. Kyle Kosier (ankle), Montrae Holland (groin) and Tony Romo (collarbone) are out.

With Kosier and Holland sitting, rookie Phil Costa will get his first start and Sam Young will see his first action of the season as the backp.

Newman is the biggest pansy on the team. He must be made of glass. I know his hands are made of stone. He's the most overrated player on the team. Elite cornerbacks don't give up the plays he does. I'm ready to draft his successor in the 2nd round in April.

I agree we need to draft Newman's successor, but I would keep Newman and play him on nickel and dime packages.

He'd do better than Scandrick would.

I would let Newman and the rookie battle for the starting spot. Whoever loses plays nickel.

I agree, and corner is one of the easier positions to learn as a rookie.

It's not like being a QB or WR.
