I figure we'll be an 8-8 team, which ought to put us between 13-19 (based on 2012 draft). I'll split the difference and give us the 16th.

The order of teams from 1-15 is a guestimation, obviously.

Using the below template, mock to our pick.

For extra credit... list our 2nd rounder (late 40's/early 50's).

1. Cleveland Browns -
2. Oakland Raiders -
3. Jacksonville Jaguars -
4. Kansas City Chiefs -
5. Miami Dolphins -
6. Buffalo Bills
7. Indianapolis Colts -
8. New Orleans Saints -
9. Tennessee Titans -
10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -
11. New York Jets -
12. St. Louis Rams (via Washington) -
13. Detroit Lions -
14. St. Louis Rams -
15. Carolina Panthers -
16. Dallas Cowboys -

I cant name five college football players.

I have watched about five minutes of college football this year.

My draft thoughts are going to be awesome.

I'd take either cmd's or junk's selections over my own. I just don't see Star falling that far, or the team being sensible enough to take a stud center in the first.

I wouldn't hate the Reid selection either. But that would be largely dependent on what else we did in free agency and the rest of the draft.

Here's my dilemma. After last year, it looked to be a two year rebuilding process to get the team where it needed to be. There were obvious major issues (OL and CB) and some secondary issues (third WR, S, DL and adding another pass rusher/replacing Spencer)

Last year was a stellar year for OG and CB in the draft and FA. Both of those positions should have been shored up. Tag Spencer and go with Pool/Church to give you another year to get into a pass rusher/S rich draft. Center options sucked last year so punt on Costa for one more year.

I think they fixed corner. They tried to go cheap on guard and it looks like they are paying for it. So, you go into next year with realistic needs at pass rusher, S, OG, OC and needs for upgrades at WR and DL.

Anyway, this is a draft I really like the looks of this year. Tons of guys I like at positions of need: Mingo, Montgomery, Jarvis Jones, Bjoern Werner, Kawann Short, Lotulelei, Hankins, Eric Reid, Barrett Jones, Khalid Holmes, Cooper, McDonald

you know CMD I just don't thing Dallas like a big NT don't know why

but I think J Brent has the poundage we need up the gut

altho I think I rather go with Jesse Williams, 6-4/320

than Star

I'm actually a HUGE Jesse Williams fan. My last scouting gig was to chart a game by Aaron Douglas (offensive tackle who later died from oxy overdose) for a USC website (WeAreSC). Anyway, he played for Arizona Western and so did Jesse. He was a man amongst boys out there, plowing the center and a guard into the backfield, play after play. He was already committed to Alabama but USC was one of the schools he considered so he was giving me crap after the game. Good kid who was able to turn off the monster switch once the game was over.

I went with the consensus that Star is the higher ranked player.

I love some of Jesse Williams - the anouncer who does the SEC games said he watched a tape on him and said in that whole game he was doubled teamed never once was he on the ground

but I think we rush OLB

This and Ratliff is locked up. I think that is the duo at NT for the foreseeable future.

For those who can tear themselves away from the Rams/Lions game you can watch two of the players (Khaled Holmes and Star Lotulelei) we mentioned battle it out tonight as USC plays Utah at 9 PM eastern on ESPN.

Some other players worth watching are:
USC
TJ McDonald FS
Dion Bailey OLB but will play SS at NFL level
Marqise Lee WR (not draft eligible this year but as good a WR as there is in college)
Kevin Graf RT

Utah
Dave and Joe Kruger (younger brothers of Ravens OLB Paul). Especially Joe 6'7" 280 lbs.
Thretten Palamo DE (ex Rugby star)

Damn I can only record 2 things at once. Gotta cancel jersey shore and add this game so I can see some of the Star/Holmes matchup
