Related items Here's what I saw Thursday during the Cowboys' training camp practice at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington:

• LB Bradie James had an active practice. Early in team drills, he stopped RB Phillip Tanner twice for losses. Later, James pressured QB Stephen McGee and forced him to throw the ball away. He also had a would-be sack of McGee when he and LB Keith Brooking came on a blitz.

• The last day of Cowboys' training camp practice at Cowboys Stadium brought out three big names. Former NFL coach Dan Reeves , Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle and former Cowboys fullback Daryl "Moose" Johnston watched along the sideline.

• Undrafted rookie free agent WR Raymond Radway, a hit early in training camp, reappeared with another big day. Radway ran right past rookie CB Josh Thomas and caught a deep pass along the sideline from QB Jon Kitna that went for a touchdown. Radway then beat CB Alan Ball to make an over-the-shoulder catch near the sideline on a pass from Stephen McGee.

• Both field goal kickers had good days. Recently signed veteran Shayne Graham and undrafted rookie free agent Dan Bailey each went 3-for-3 with makes from 34, 44 and 53 yards out.

• Injured offensive guard Montrae Holland (back) went through an intense workout with resistance training and strength and conditioning coach Mike Woicik directing the 340-pounder in a series of sprints that had him wobbling off the field with a soaked T-shirt. Injured CB Terence Newman ran springs along the sideline.

• Undrafted free agent rookie Kevin Kowalski worked at second-team center in team drills with Phil Costa out. NT Jay Ratliff blew right past Kowalski in team drills to force Stephen McGee to make a quick pass. Later, Ratliff went right past OL Pepa Letuli to pressure McGee.

• A day after a great practice Wednesday, CB Orlando Scandrick had a nice pass breakup over the middle on a Stephen McGee pass intended for WR Tysson Poots.

• LB DeMarcus Ware was often in the backfield harassing quarterbacks and would have stopped RB Lonyae Miller for a loss on a running play in team drills.

• CB Bryan McCann rushed on a blitz and would have sacked QB Tom Brandstater.

• CB Mike Jenkins made a nice pass breakup in 7-on-7 drills on a Stephen McGee pass intended for WR Tysson Poots.

• CB Chris Randle intercepted a Tony Romo pass in 7-on-7 drills.

• WR Curtis Clay, TE Martellus Bennett and linebacker-turned-fullback Isaiah Greenhouse had dropped passes in team drills. Greenhouse dropped down for push-ups after his drop.

• LB Keith Brooking blitzed and would have sacked QB Stephen McGee in team drills.

• CB Alan Ball came on a delayed blitz and went untouched. He would have sacked Tom Brandstater.

• OL Jermey Parnell had two false starts in team drills and also was beaten badly by LB DeMarcus Ware on a pass rush.

• LB Anthony Spencer would have sacked QB Stephen McGee late in team drills.

1. Felix Jones looks sleeker and quicker this year than his heavier self last year. Just in time.

2. The young offensive line has really impressed me. Heck, the Cowboys may actually be able to run a screen or two this year (which you can't do with pulling guards that run, at best, an 8-second 40).

3. Martellus Bennett is officially a complete bust. Whoever said this guy had loads of talent was reading his profile sheet and combine numbers and not looking at what he did on the field.

4. Orlando Scandrick can't guard anybody. Not Vincent Jackson, not even Patrick Crayton. It appears his pass coverage approach is defense-by-proximity which doesn't work in this league; you need to make a play on the ball.

5. Alan Ball and Gerald Sensabaugh always seem to have one or two plays where they end up jawing at each other in a that-was-your-guy moment while the opponent scores an easy TD. Last night was no different. Terrible chemistry between these two makes for great moments...for the opponent
