Has anyone else notice how decent Scandrick has been playing? Not world beater, but definitely better since Wade has left, he's played his best of the season. And interesting enough, Newman has played worse. It's like he took over from Scandrick.

I want to say that Gurode and Kosier also have played better, but I think the reality is that Davis and Colombo are playing so bad, that Gurode and Kosier only look decent by comparison.

I thought to myself yesterday that Scandrick was playing significantly better . . .

That's not saying much, as he was pretty bad before.

But yeah, being predominantly zone has certainly helped him.

Jenkins is better at man-coverage, and Scandrick is better in zone.

I still think that we should return to the 4-3.

Scandrick, Columbo, Davis, Newman, Barber and Brooking.

All of them lined up against a brickwall in an alley. Me with my Tommy Gun.

I want Kosier gone. I watched him on a play in this past game get shoved to the ground like he's 160lbs.

Oh, and it was by a backup DT at that. Embarrassing.

I want them all gone except Free. Doubtful that Gurode goes, but move him to LG. Kosier is a free agent after this season.

Alot of people are playing better under Garrett, it isnt a coincidence we've won both games and guys are playing better.

In regards to Scandrick, he should have had two picks yesterday and made several nice tackles. I honestly thought it was his best game since his rookie season.

We have to give some credit to coach P for the defense.

He has changed some of the packages up and it has been harder to tell if we are blitzing or not.

Wades defense was too predictable when we were blitzing. You knew it was coming.

Amazing how we are not having many issues scoring in the red zone now.

They already tried Gurode at guard and it wasn't successful. He is done here. Just like the other 3 should be, aside from Free.

I want to see a major overhaul in this offensive line.

Slide Free back to the right tackle position and draft our future left tackle and guards. And add some through free agency.

I am good with that. I still think that LT is one of the toughest positions to find. And Free is a quality LT, but, looked better at RT. Either way, it's good.

Well, we do this only if we can find a left tackle in the draft.

They are there we just need the right scouts and coaches to draft them.

That was at RG. Look... I want Gurode gone as well. He should not be playing Center. But if they decide to keep him which is a possibility, then naturally, they should shift him to LG. I'd be fine with him at LG, just as long as he is no longer the Center.

Was he a natural LG at Colorado? I can't remember? LOL. Did he go to Colorado? LOL

He did.. The "great one" Parcells move him to guard after being at center. he got benched at guard.

No thanks.

Actually Parcells moved him to center. He was a G in college and a G prospect in the pros.

But don't let me get in the way of your complete idiocy.

F Free on the right side. I want a legitimate road grading nasty RT. We haven't had one in forever.

That's the problem with Free. He's not good enough to play LT. And he's not strong enough to play RT. He also can't play inside.

Awesome young player to build that line of the future around.

Gurode was drafted in 2002, and is the first rookie to start at center on opening day since Stepnoski. He remained at center until mid season before injuries forced the team to play him at guard.

Parcells, coming in in 2003, felt Gurode was best suited as a guard. And that is why Parcells drafted Al Johnson to play center.

Parcells finally realized he made a mistake, and moved Gurode back to center in 2005.

He was a G in college and a G prospect in the pros.

He played center in college, before moving to guard in the middle of his junior year.

No he didnt. He moved him BACK to C.

The day he was drafted, Jones ssaid he envisioned him as a dominant center for years to come, even though he was a guard his last season or so at Colorado.

He started at C about half of his first yr, moved to G due to injuries to others. Did not play as well at G as he did at C.

I'm aware of what took place with Gurode.

Gurode was a G in college. I don't care where he played entering college. I care where he was when he finished and where he was projected in the NFL. Everybody had him at G.

I don't remember that Jerry quote. And I won't take your word for it.

He started here at C because of personnel. Flozell Adams started at G for the same reason. It's common with young lineman getting their first snaps in the NFL. You play them where you need them for the time being. That doesn't mean that's where you see him all along.

He failed at C. He was moved to G. His natural position. He failed there too.

Football Jesus moved him back to C, said a few hail his mothers, and we got a pretty solid C out of it. From a guy who was lost and written off before the greatest coach to ever walk a sideline arrived.
