Everything still on track for Rob Ryan to become Cowboys DC

David Moore / Reporter

Everything is still on track for Rob Ryan to become the Cowboys defensive coordinator. The announcement could come as early as today.

But as Monday begins, nothing has been signed.

There is no concern or holdup. The job was offered and Ryan agreed to accept during his visit to Valley Ranch on Friday. The two sides immediately began to work on the final details. It's just that there wasn't a sense of urgency to complete a lot of the work over the weekend.

That should come today.

How can you not have a sense of urgency to sign a contract?

If Ryan wanted to he could just leave and say he's not interested anymore.

If this doesn't happen today, I call bullshit.

I think Ryan is a great hire if he signs here.

Is he doesn't, then I think he's overrated and the guy we do get is the best possible candidate and was our #1 target all along.
