It isn't that far fetched to imagine a 2013 OL of T Smith at LT, maybe a Warmack or Cooper at LG, Brandon Moore at RG and Clabo at RT. The you have a comp in training camp with Costa, Kowalski and Bernadeau for C.

Even an OL that had a Clabo or Winston at RT and Moore at one of the G spots, with the other stuff we have is a vast improvement.

This scenario would be the most ideal.

Clabo or Winston at RT, 1st rounder at RG, and like you said, let the best man win the C job.

I can't think of there being a more realistic ideal situation than that one.

I'd have no problem with this move. Cut Free as a designated June 1st cut, then enter the draft concentrating on interior lineman early and get another OT late in the draft....

Throw in Bama TE Williams in 5th or 6th rd, and suddenly being able to run the ball consistently, especially in GL and short yardage situations aint an issue.

The Dallas Cowboys have contacted free-agent OT Tyson Clabo (Falcons) to express interest in him.
We expressed interest right before we expressed that we don't have any money to pay him. We can put some on it though... or can he wait till June 1?

first year cap number could easily be under the 4. whatever million dollars in cap room we have.

Don't we need that to sign draft picks? What's our rookie pool number?

I'm not sure what the rule is, whether you have to have the cap space BEFORE the draft to cover all your picks, or just that you have to have it at some point in the offseason.

Wont be much of a cap number to sign these six picks though.
