Romo overrated? Survey says yes

Gerry Fraley / Reporter

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is overrated, a sliver of NFL players maintain.

Sports Illustrated surveyed NFL players on the subject of overrated players and will publish the results in this week's issue. Cincinnati wide receiver Terrell Owens ranked as the most overrated player with 15 percent of the vote. Romo was second with seven percent, followed by Washington defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

The survey is less than comprehensive. According to SI, a total of 239 players responded. With practice squads and injured-reserve lists, there are more than 2,000 players in the league

I don't think he's overated, give him protection and he's a different quarterback.

I think a lot of his throws are rushed because he feels the pressure coming from the faulty offensive line.

Give him time to set his feet in the pocket and he's a different animal.
