IRVING, Texas -- Rookie fullback Shaun Chapas made a little bit more than $22,000 in his first game on the active roster last week at Arizona.

The NFL wants $20,000 of it.

Chapas agent, Hadley Englehard, said his client will appeal the fine.

The league fined Chapas for a blindside hit on a second-quarter punt return that led to a 5-yard touchdown catch for Dez Bryant. Chapas leveled Cardinals linebacker Reggie Walkeron a 14-yard return by Bryant, however, Walker was chasing Bryant and seemingly involved in the play.

The NFL has made blindside hits a point of emphasis this year with player safety.

Chapas was not penalized on the play.

Chapas’ fine was the largest drawn by a Cowboy this year. Outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware was fined $15,000 for a hit on Buffalo quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Wide receiverKevin Ogletree and cornerback Frank Walker were fined $7,500 each for face mask and unnecessary roughness penalties against San Francisco and Miami respectively.

No penalty should = No fine.

The NFL wants everyone to run face to face with each other and just chest bump ( but just slightly)

This is absolutely ridiculous. You're going to take 95 percent of what a guy made playing that one game because he made a hard, clean football play?

Suck my dick, Goodell.. you're a piece of shit.

Goodell has turned me into strictly a Dallas Cowboy fan. I used to be an avid NFL fan.

The game used to be fun to watch. Now it's one big, over-hyped, celebrity flag football league.
