Cowboys make roster move
August, 26, 2013

By Todd Archer | ESPNDallas.com

IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys have 12 roster moves left to make after cutting defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton.

Pendleton was signed in June after playing in four games last year with Jacksonville. He did not record a tackle in Saturday’s preseason win against Cincinnati. The move leaves the Cowboys with 14 healthy defensive linemen entering Thursday’s preseason finale against Houston.

The Cowboys will place defensive end Tyrone Crawford on injured reserve with a torn Achilles and will need to make 11 moves to get under the 75-man limit.

The final roster cut to 53 players is Saturday.

Let's hope some decent guards or tackles get cut. We need a couple.

I'm fine with cutting McKenzie even in his salary is guaranteed. Just get him out of here.

Da’Rick Rogers among five Bills cuts

Posted by Josh Alper on August 26, 2013, 10:42 AM EDT

Two former University of Tennessee wide receivers went early in the 2013 draft, but many people were intrigued by a third wideout that started his career at Tennessee before transferring after being suspended for failing drug tests.

Da’Rick Rogers didn’t get drafted, but he did sign with the Bills after the draft and those intrigued parties gave him a good chance of nabbing a roster spot with a team short on receivers behind Stevie Johnson. That didn’t wind up happening, though, as Rogers failed to distinguish himself as anything other than a target for criticism for coaches on his way to not taking a snap in the third preseason game.

It’s no surprise, then, that Rogers was waived by the Bills on Monday. His talent could get him claimed, although the limited time left to work with Rogers this summer may make a practice squad the likeliest next stop in his professional career.

The Bills also cut defensive back Dominique Ellis, wide receiver DeMarco Sampson, cornerback Jumal Rolle and center Ryan Turnley.

------------

I would love for him to end up on the Cowboys practice squad...... Never going to happen though.

I mean, he's an idiot. but man if he could put it together, him accross from Dez would be deadly.

Falcons cut 3 more to get to 75-player limit
Monday, August 26, 2013 9:21 a.m. CDT
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — The Atlanta Falcons have completed their latest round of cuts by waiving receivers Rashad Evans, Marcus Jackson and Marcus Sales.

The cuts announced Monday came after the team waived 11 players the previous day.

The roster now stands at 75 heading into Thursday's final preseason game against Jacksonville.

Evans and Sales were signed by the Falcons this year as college free agents. Jackson was an undrafted player who spent the 2012 season on Atlanta's practice squad.

The Falcons must reduce their roster to the regular-season limit of 53 by Saturday.

Did anyone see that 49ers kick returner get a penalty for taunting and then take his helmet off after he scored?

I wouldn't be surprised if he's on the list.

I will get accused of USC homering but I would sign Joe McKnight. He drove me crazy at USC, he was supposed to be the next Reggie Bush, but he has shown to be pretty versatile in the NFL. He can return kicks and punts, play RB and WR, he is an excellent gunner, and has even played NFL snaps at CB (the position he should have played all along).

I won't accuse you of being a USC homer. Can't say I won't accuse you of being retarded though.

Former Cowboys Mario Butler cut from Denver and Teddy Williams cut from Colts. Lionel Smith cut by Jags.

Giants cut former top 5 pick Aaron Curry. Glad he wasn't able to turn his career around.

Jets cut Stephen Peterman. Was that the guy we drafted?

Steelers cut DeMarcus Van Dyke. We were in love with him per Sdogo.

Yep, Parcells did in the 3rd round. Another OL bust for us. He went to Detroit and did OK.

I'm 100% sure he's better than McKenzie. I don't care if he just had his leg amputated or something.
