I figured we might as well have one single thread for the daily additions to the NFL’s list of players and coaches that come down with Covid.

5 Jags players were placed on the Covid list

Eagles coach Doug Pederson tested positive for Covid

So far 95 players have tested positive

Thought I read something like 8 or 9 Pats payers had opted out.

Belichick enacting his "Tanking for Trevor" campaign.

By telling players to opt-out? Before the deadline? LOL

Here's the league-wide list of opt-outs BTW:

So what happens if a player tests positive the day after our blue and white scrimmage on August 30th? (Or whenever it’s scheduled for)

If a single player at the scrimmage tests positive that would technically require every single player that played in the scrimmage to quarantine for X number of days

There goes the Dallas Cowboys entire team for however many days they require for quarantine

How is that shit going to work?
How many days is a player required to quarantine after he comes in contact with someone that recently tests positive?

What happens if I’m week one between the Rams and Cowboys we have a player test positive a day or two after the game? Are both teams going to have to quarantine?

What happens when a team can’t field enough healthy players on game day?

I just don’t see how this season stands a chance at being success full if they follow the guidelines.

Looking at the list of opt outs they are basically a bunch of unknown players who likely wouldn’t make their respective teams anyway

There are only 4-5 players that I recognized

It won’t surprise me if we see a bunch more “on the bubble” or no chance in hell at making the team type players “opt out” before the final cut day when they get assed out with no guaranteed money for the season.

Fear not, Gwasshoppa. We gonna win the super bowl this season 30-29 over the Chargers... I glimpsed it on a TV in a dream I was having the other night. Commentators were calling it "the asterisk bowl" due to all teh covids. Remember this post when the time comes.

Here's how far behind we are at this point: Tonight was to have been the HoF game and inductions, kicking off the preseason.

I heard a stat on the NFL network that less than 2% of all players/coaches/player personnel have actually tested positive for COVID so far

I’m really surprised that it has remained so low.

I have zero confidence that these young 20 something players around the league will do what is required to keep themselves safe throughout the season.

I’m sure Zeke will have another COVID party with players and hoes at his place not wearing masks at least one or two more times this season

Apparently there were a number of positive tests in New York. But they are stating that they believe there was an issue with the testing sight who returned the positive test results for the Jets. So they had them retest and 9 of the previously positive tests have come back negative. There were apparently some positive tests from the Vagiants who also use the same testing center that the Jets were using.

It sounds like there is more to this story to come

We shall see how it plays out.

That happened to several teams, all used the same lab apparently.

Every single player that retested was negative.

I heard that some came back negative

I hadn’t heard that they all came back as negative

See, it’s that type of shit right there that makes it hard to believe any of the COVID numbers for the US

Falcons' CB A.J. Terrell is being placed on the reserve COVID list and is out for Sunday’s game against the Bears. He now becomes the first NFL player this season to miss a game due to COVID.
