The New England Patriots today announced several staff changes but did not name a new strength and conditioning coach.
Mike Woicik, who began his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys, has held that job since 2000. Wolcik's contract expired after this season, and he has been expected to re-join the Cowboys. Woicik met with head coach Jason Garrett this week.
That the Patriots did not announce Woicik's successor raised an obvious question. Is New England mounting a last-ditch effort to keep him?
