Per reports.

Buehler is out tonight, so Bailey gets to handle all kickoffs and placekicks.

Nagy to start at LG. No word on if Gurode is starting at C or if Costa will. I think I heard there was some debate as to whether Gurode would play tonight.

I really hope Nagy shows something. Be amazing to come out of the 2011 draft with three starting quality OL.

I actually have a glimmer of hope that we may have finally found some promising OL candidates for the future in Smith, Costa, nagy, and Arkin, which would be about time. It's encouraging to hear Costa has improved to the point that they are considering him starting at C and moving Gurode to G. As soon as I heard Holland showed-up over weight and out of shape I was ready to cut him on the spot (channeling JJ there). It's time to get rid of the sluggards and get some linemen playing who have some fire in their bellies.

^ Same here. We've missed on OL dating all the way back to 1994. It's about time we start hitting on them.

Maybe if we are lucky Nagy will be to the offensive line what ratliff was in 05 to the defensive line. Ratliff was a backup at big time program at auburn, nagy was a backup at a big time program at Wisconsin......

Garret has that connection to chryst at uw and probably knew all about him. hopefully it works out just like Ratliff.

If there is any doubt about whether Garrett is running this team, this right here should dispel it. Knowing Jerry, do any of you think that he would be considering Nagy as a starter, even if it's just in preseason?

Nope. He doesn't make enough.

Ratliff was a starter for his entire senior season. Nagy was a backup his final year after sitting out after his accident.

I know it makes sense to see if he can handle the other team's starting opposition, but thinking he is a Ratliff-style hit off of that is a bit much.

I'll be rooting for Nagy, but I think tonight will be a reality check and he's going to get beat like a prison dick.

We haven't seen enough of Nagy, and seeing he's been a backup his collegiate career it's hard to tell if he's starting material.

I love the kids nasty style and his competitiveness so I'm rooting for him. I just find it hard for us to have three rookie starters come opening day.

I don't think Garrett's connection with Chryst is as big as you make it seem when it comes to the Cowboys scouting Nagy, like Sean Payton knowing about Tony Romo because he played for his alma mater. Nagy was named to the All Big 10 team as an honorable mention last year, despite only starting 7 games.

He did? My bad, I was to the understanding he was a backup his collegiate career. I really need to watch more college football.

I don't watch it as much as I do professional.

because of injuries. He was a back-up.

Does that change the fact that he started and won accolades? Hell, he was named Co-offensive player twice in those 7 starts by UW, and got a nod on the All Big 10 team.

BTW, part of the reason he didn't start more was because he was battling injury issues of his own.

There's a story that made the rounds that the Wisconsin HC had some sort of personal issue with Nagy, and that also may have played a role.

Supposedly the OL coach and Offensive Coordinator (Chrust, who's a close friend of Garrett's) both liked the guy alot and recommended him to Garrett and our scouts.
