I think we've all heard the "Dream Team" moniker.

We all know the amount of money the Eagles have shelled out this off season, and the expectations that follow.

I'm thinking that if the Eagles don't get deep into the playoffs... and I'm thinking at least NFC title game, Reid is out.

I think if they miss the playoffs altogether, then he's definitely out.

And I'm calling my shot right now.....

The guy to replace him?

Rob will turn our defense around.

He's got a personality that fans would love. A great change from the mono-tone, say nothing Reid.

The Eagles will once again have a feared, complex, blitz crazy defense.

And they'd be weakening a divisional opponent in the process.

In 2012, Rob Ryan will be coaching his daddy's old team.

Lock it up.

Could be, I would imagine if our defense plays well all year he'll definitely be considered for multiple coaching jobs and I could see both the Eagles and Giants being interested.

No way, Rob's staying put. If the Eagles make a change they'll go after a guy like Cowher or Gruden.

I don't think it's Super Bowl or bust for Andy though. I think he's back no matter what.

I could certainly see that happening. Eagle fans absolutely loved Buddy Ryan, even though he didn't do shit for them. Remus would have instant credibility with the fan base. And I'm sure Rob would not only love to get a HC job, but step into one where his daddy once coached.

It would make for a nice story to have both the Ryans coaching in NY, if he were to get the Giants job, but I think it just makes more sense for him to go to Philly.

I hope Reid coaches in Philly for another 10 years. I think Rob will do a good job as a HC. I don't want him anywhere near one of our rivals.

Those are my thoughts exactly.

I don't think the Ryan swagger would go over well in every city. But his persona is perfect for the New York/Philadelphia area.

Cr122 posting "No way, he's staying here" just cements it in my head that this is going to happen.

I see the Dolphins maybe going after Rob. They're seeing how it worked out well for the Jets, so why not add another to the division? Now that would be a fun division to watch. But yeah, I can see the Giants going after Rob. If that happens, ESPN would be unbeaqrable because it will always be about the Ryans of New York.

Eagles do not go after big name coaches...their last 3 are Kotite, Rhodes, and Reid...so Ryan makes sense. Now Ryan is a big name, but not on par with Fisher, Cowher, etc.

To be fair, it was different ownership hiring Kotite and Rhoads, I believe.

True, but I cannot see them going after a big name. They seem to have a system in place...and despite Reid being there for a long time, the coach seems pretty interchangeable.

Their system resulted in how many SB titles though? With all that talent on roster.. they are in win NOW mode. Might as well get the best coach possible.

I realize this is a month old HSO, but there is no question that I can squint and see Rob Ryan running the Eagles next season.

I'd probably be surprised if Reid wasnt back next year.

If for some reason he isnt though, I still think Jeff Fisher would get more interest than Rob Ryan there, and one of Fisher's most trusted longtime assistants is already on staff there (Washburn)
