I say that because when was the last time we went into a draft and addressed every need we have? I know thats standard mock formula....

Oh we need OG/DT/RB/WR? K.... rd 1 G rd 2 DT rd 3 RB etc

We never do that. No team does.

I could very well see our draft unfolding like so:

1st - Warmack (although I think he gets to 17 and the Giants trade w/ Pittsburgh to take him before us)
2nd - Sio Moore, OLB, Connecticut - Fastest, youngest, most instictive LB's core in the league
3rd - Nick Kasa, TE, Colorado - Big (6'6" 270), former DE, good speed, excellent blocker, developing receiver. A lot of potential.
4th - Joran Hill, DT, PSU - Quick, penetrating DT. Can pressure QB and hold ground vs the run.
5th - Akeem Spence, DT, Ill - Another quick, gap shooting DT.
6th - Jawan Jamisen, RB Rutgers - Small, but physical. Good vision and quickness.

Boom.

Big time reach.

And he is the guy who narc'ed on the league about the "are U gay" questioning. Kinda makes you think there is a reason why they asked him that.

We could do a lot better there.

Besides that, decent. I like the Moore pick in particular.

Could use some safety help too.

The reach and lesser known players are what makes this mock so realistic. Every Dallas draft has a oh shit Matt Johnson pick.

I don't know how much of a reach he is. I seen him ranked right about in that range via several mock/player ranking sites.

We value TE's. We lost Phillips, so we need another blocking TE. We saw how much we missed Bennett.

Agree that we need a safety somewhere. Ultimately I think we end up with TJ McDonald, for obvious reasons.

We could probably get guys like Kelce or Sims in that range.

I don't question we have a TE fetish. It is something I wish Parcells didn't leave behind because Garrett can't figure out how to use them both, especially when he is using his sooper genius to unleash a 1970s style Coryell offense on everyone.

I would hope Old Man Kiffin saw how limited McDonald was first hand. I want nothing to do with him in the range he's projected.

Someone here posted that the scouts weren't high on McDonald, and Kiffin reportedly told them to look again at the film. I think Jerry throws his new DC a bone and gets him his guy.

I had rather see them trot an extra tackle on the field to block like the 49ers use Bigg Davis. I hate to see a pick wasted on a.blocking TE. I wouldn't mind if they went ahead
and picked a quality TE to eventually replace Witten.

Kiffen will fit right in with the Jerry with moves like this. Coaches need to stay away from scouts. If Dallas had a GM, the scouts should report all info to him. With Jerry as GM, Dallas could do without scouts and just use Kiper's draft ratings. Jerry is going to pick the player he wants anyway.
