phicarr asks ... To your knowledge is Garrett a HC candidate for any other team?
DAVID MOORE: At the moment I can't say that he is. But I firmly believe if the Cowboys don't move quickly to hire him, other teams will request permission to interview him. If I was another team, I would do that to force the Cowboys' hand.
harvey martin asks ... why does everyone think Garrett is the answer. We won 5 games and lost 10 and he's been the offensive coordinator for all. Time for new blood.
DAVID MOORE: I don't believe everyone considers Garrett the answer. I think there is a signficant percentage of fans that believe the Cowboys should go with a proven commodity. I believe Jones is wrestling with that option as well.
mike pa asks ... Whomever is coach next season, do you think Jerry will let them bring in their own staff this time?
DAVID MOORE: If he makes a hire like he did with Bill Parcells, there is no question he would. If the person he hires has a lower profile, I'd say that's a negotiating point.
