Cowboys beat writer David Moore answered your questions in a chat Friday. Here are some highlights.
Bill asks ... I'd like your projection on which of the current 11 starters on each side of the ball will be gone or backups next year.
DAVID MOORE: Offense (gone or backups) - Leonard Davis, Marc Colombo, Marion Barber
Defense (gone or backups) - Marcus Spears, Keith Brooking, Alan Ball, Gerald Sensabaugh.
KC asks ... Do you think after seeing the Super Bowl in his stadium that it could affect Jerry's decision as who should coach this team next year. I can see Garrett's chances being hurt if Jerry doesn't doesn't take the interm tag off of him before the Super Bowl. A coach that has won a SB may be more appealing to him then.
DAVID MOORE: I don't see how playing the Super Bowl here makes any difference. He's not going to pick off the coach from whatever team wins. The coaches with a Super Bowl title next to their name are already out there in Bill Cowher, Jon Gruden and Brian Billick. If he wants to hire one of them, he will pursue it regardless of the fact the game will be played here.
Jay asks ... You think safety will be a draft focus or will Dallas go look at somebody like Sean Considine or Tanard Jackson?
DAVID MOORE: If it's not a focus of the draft, it will be addressed in free agency. The Cowboys strongly considered taking a safety in the second round last year but their rating was so high on inside linebacker Sean Lee that they felt they couldn't pass on him.
