1. Ezekian Ansah, DE, BYU
I know this guy is supposedly flying up the boards due to his Senior Bowl performance, but I'm not sure the momentum lasts. I think he's still on the board at 18, and his upside is justification enough for us to take him there.
Boom or bust player, IMO, but we know what a riverboat gambler Jerry is.
2. Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
There are about 10 OL I want to mock here. But my fear is the team (Jerry) will think between another year of coaching from Callahan, plus having Nagy healthy, a year under Learys belt, and another year in the weight room for Arkin, that we're solid enough on the interior. Plus, did you see how well Parnell played? Sheeeeeeet... we might sign him to a long extension, forget drafting someone early to compete with him. So I reluctantly have us drafting another Dlineman - which still fills a need, but you know how I feel about the Oline. I digress. Besides, Williams very well could be a great combo of BPA meets need at this point.
3. Tyler Bray, QB, Tennessee
Should Bray fall to the third, we'd be foolish to pass on him. Derek Dooley knows all about the player, and he'll tell the team the guy is wicked talented but just needs a few years to mature. The perfect replacement for Romo. The kid will be so good that Dbair will consider changing his Drew Bledsoe avatar.
4. Manase Foketi, T, West Texas A&M
4th round, aka the try to find a small school gem round. We finally address the Oline by selecting a dominant FCS LT. Plans are to move him to RT, with him and Parnell battling it out for the starting spot in training camp. I haven't seen this guy play at all, but from what I've read he's a big kid 6'5" 333lbs, and he graded out very well on film.
5. Nick Kasa, TE, Colorado
Great blocker, which we missed with the absence of Bennett. Raw. Can develop into a #2 TE in time.
6. Rex Burkhead, RB, Nebraska
Oooozes RKG and not a bad back, either.
