ARLINGTON, Texas -- The day off is coming at the right time for some Cowboys players.

Wide receiver Miles Austin has a tight hamstring but didn't miss any practice reps Tuesday. It's not considered serious.

Several Cowboys players are still nursing injuries.

Among the injured: Jon Kitna (back), Kai Forbath (quad), Teddy Williams (hamstring), David Buehler (hip), Tashard Choice (calf), DeMarco Murray (hamstring), Montrae Holland (back), Mike Jenkins (stinger), Terence Newman (groin), Keith Brooking (hamstring) and Bruce Carter (knee) are out. Jenkins, however, is doing some individual drills.

Brooking said he hopes to return next Tuesday for practice and Kitna and Buehler's statuses for the rest of this week are uncertain.

"This day off will give guys a chance to rest their bodies," said defensive end Marcus Spears. "Guys on the front are sore and need the rest."
