One of my favorite memories as an about to be teenager in 89 was the giants loss to the rams in the divisional playoff game in 89.

Being from upstate new york I took nothing but grief for being a cowboys fan. One of my friends and his family were huge giants fans and they had a big party for the rams-giants playoff game in 89. The giants were favored.

The only enjoyable moment I had was in 85 when we beat the giants in texas stadium and won the divison in december. other than that, nothing but grief.

anyway, Phil simms who had won a superbowl just 4 seasons before was always boo'd at home and he played terribly missing wide open touchdowns early in the game and allowed the rams to hang around.

then in overtime a WR from Paulsboro new jersey named Flipper anderson caught a bomb to win an ran straight into the tunnel........

just saying.

Eli won a super bowl 5 seasons ago and gets boo'd at home alot.
Miles Austin is from garfield NJ.......Maybe we can make the magic happen again.

that afternoon was like winning a superbowl for me. No one said a thing to me.

of course until next year when they actually completed the deal...

life got better in september of 91 when we beat the giants and issac holt picked hostetler to seal the deal.
