In this age of the NFL , receivers move from one side to another depending on the formation. But at some point Cowboys receiver Miles Austin will face off against Nnamdi Asomugha.
Billed as a shut-down cornerback, Asomugha was perhaps the most coveted free agent last offseason and signed a $60 million contract with the Eagles. But Asomugha, who plays on the right side, has struggled this year. Of the 14 passes thrown his direction, eight have been completed for 164 yards and a touchdown
Now, Asomugha faces a player who has torched him in the past. Two years ago, when Asomugha played for Oakland, Austin caught seven passes for 145 yards and a touchdown in a 24-7 victory over the Raiders. It was an impressive performance by Austin, who is off to a fast start this season after collecting 23 catches, 323 receiving yards and four touchdowns in four games. He will try to add to those totals against a player whom he's beaten in the past.
