IRVING -- Cowboys punter Mat McBriar said he's pain free of the nerve damage in his left (non-kicking) foot.
And that could mean a return to being the holder. The foot problems has prevented McBriar from holding the last few weeks and the Cowboys turned to starting quarterback Tony Romo to take care of the snaps for kicker Dan Bailey.
"The foot is what it is," McBriar said. "I'm not having anymore pain. That's gone away so I can definitely start holding a lot more now. I don't think I'll be asked to hold [this week] but I definitely got some practice in at that [Monday] and the kicking is not upsetting it at all which is great because that was a big concern initially."
