Martin Rucker - Anyone else like him?

I know he hasn't gotten a lot of opportunities due to our depth at TE, but does anyone else like what they've seen from the kid when he has been on the field?

I'd actually like to keep him on the roster. And with our concerns over WR and FB depth, I think we can justify keeping 4 TE's.

He's a big kid, 250lbs and 6'5" and was a very good receiving threat at Missouri. I think he'd be a match up nightmare in passing downs.

Anyone else?

Have to see more of him. He's going to have excel on ST. How is he on blocking? Gronk has improved a bit, but I'm not certain I trust him. He cost us both Bryant and Romo for the season because of his missed blocks. And Chapas hasn't shown to overtake Gronk.

I actually do like Rucker. If he can block as well as he catches the football, he wouldn't be a bad backup for Witten.

If his blocking is on par with Phillips, I'd seriously consider him for the #2 spot if Bennett is either cut or traded. I read where Theebs mentioned that Babe had some negative things to say about Bennett the other day. Maybe Babe knows something?

I don't know. But yeah, Rucker looks like a natural.
